Norwich Office Fit Out
Fit out’s are always exciting; when you first visit the ‘space’ its often quite a state, it might be an old office, a brand new building with no walls or something that’s being converted like a factory. Over the course of a few months these places get transformed from shabby to sleek and we get to be a part of it. Norwich was no different; the office space that was being converted was old fashioned, and had lots of small offices and meeting rooms which had become outdated and awkward to use. The plan was to rip it back to a bare shell and start again.
Overbury Plc were brought in as the main designer contractor but AV was handed over to us. The floor was divided into social spaces, hot desks, a kitchen, multiple break out pods, standing and sitting meeting areas and a dividable meeting room, oh and the most important part - a table tennis area!
The wide range of areas called for zonal sound, video conference solutions and multiple screens. Each pod had easily accessible connections for both power and connectivity and monitor enabling a small group to share digital content or hold a skype call. In the dividable meeting room we installed auto selecting systems which turned the AV on and off depending on which room the participants are in. In one side we installed hidden ceiling speakers, an amp and a large monitor which was connected to an Extron touchpanel enabling the user to easily select how they want to share their information i.e. using the Barco Clickshare. The other side of the sliding wall was a 65” touchscreen monitor, Skype enabled camera and microphones, hidden ceiling speakers and of course our favourite Extron touchpanel to control the whole system.
As the client has a number of locations we have developed a bespoke interface for them on the touchpanels which have been rolled out across their offices. This enables staff to move locations without needing training in the local AV, saving time and money, and enabling smooth meetings with their clients.
Could your office do with an injection of fun and smooth working AV?
