Air Ambulance Base Gets the Tech they Deserve
In 2018 the Great Western Air Ambulance achieved the seemingly impossible dream of fundraising enough to purchase their own brand new airbase. The new base means a more stable future for this critical charity. They serve over 2.1 million people in Bristol, Bath and North East Somerset, South Gloucestershire, Gloucestershire, North Somerset and surrounding areas. Yes that’s right the guys and girls of GWAAC are on hand 24/7 to save millions of lives, and they are a CHARITY!
Although they were able to buy the building and move their state of the art equipment over they didn’t have their AV sorted. After a quick look through the details of what they were hoping to achieve and the sorts of uses the individual rooms would see, we were able to recommend a suitable package. Fast forward a few months and we were over the moon and very honoured to be able to help these incredible people.
Their work is life saving and hugely time critical, so the technology we installed needed to be easy to use, reliable and fast.
We were able to leverage our relationships to get a great deal for them on a laser projector for their meeting room, enabling them to have perfect high quality images even in higher light levels (thanks Canon). As many different people come and go and the rooms sometimes get used for meetings with people who don’t work at the base on a daily basis it was important to ensure the kit could be used across devices and without lengthy set up times. The obvious choice was an Extron keypad and ClickShare dongles.
