flexible Meeting spaces

Grant Thornton, the forward-thinking early adopters of hybrid working, had long championed remote work even before the home office became a necessity. Recognizing the need for adaptable workspaces, they turned to Technative for a brilliant solution.

In their Birmingham office, our design team conjured up a plan that seamlessly blended informal and C-Level meeting spaces. To cater to client-facing rooms, we installed 65" LG screens paired with the Poly Teams Room and the sleek Poly Studio USB conference bar. With the addition of Extron occupancy sensors, we brought control to a new level, intelligently managing screen activation and deactivation. These rooms were designed to be versatile, accommodating laptop presentations when not in a call, utilizing the conference bar's speakers with finesse.

Now, let's talk about the Boardroom—a room with a unique twist, featuring a dividing door for potential split usage.

In the primary room, our client desired nothing less than excellence. They demanded a Poly Teams Room with impeccable auto-framing and speaker-tracking capabilities, complemented by top-notch audio quality. After meticulous planning and calculations, we curated a masterpiece setup. Introducing the Biamp Parle ceiling microphones with remarkable beamforming technology, accompanied by Monitor audio wall-mounted speakers at the front and Biamp IC6 speakers discreetly tucked into the ceiling at the rear. This ensured pristine audio reinforcement throughout the room. To capture the perfect visuals, we chose the exceptional Poly E70 camera, seamlessly integrating with the Teams Room and offering a nifty button for effortless switching between speaker-tracking and auto-framing—smart!

In the rear of the room, Grant Thornton required an interactive screen that could double as a repeater during larger gatherings. Enter the Clevertouch 65" Impact 2, mounted on an electrically height-adjustable trolley for ultimate convenience. Leveraging Extron control and door sensors, we ingeniously programmed the system to adapt as the dividing doors closed or opened. The mics, video, and speakers in the secondary room seamlessly muted, while the interactive screen automatically switched to the correct input for HDMI or wireless devices in the secondary space. It's an absolute smashing success, in the most non-Alan Partridge way possible.

Grant Thornton's embrace of hybrid working is truly a testament to their progressive mindset. With Technative's ingenuity at the helm, they now enjoy seamless meetings, adaptable spaces, and unrivalled collaboration potential. Together, we're redefining the future of work.
